Event :: Above and Beyond @ Godskitchen - Hard Rock Hotel - Las Vegas, NV - 2/26/09

Absolutely the most people i have ever seen in Body English nightclub here in Las Vegas. Above and Beyond featuring Jaytech and an opening set by Jordan Stevens was the perfect line up for one of the most exciting EDM nights i have ever seen for a Godskitchen event, never mind Las Vegas all together.

An insane night at Body English this past Wednesday inside the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. Godskitchen brought in dj/producer Steve Angello for a extremely hi energy dj set that Las Vegas hasn't seen in a very long time.

Event:: 2/11/09 - Matt Darey and Jes Brieden @ Godskitchen - Las Vegas, NV

Matt Darey:: Matt has been one of the pioneers of today’s dance scene being a major influence on today’s world class DJ’s. Throughout his 17 year career of producing & writing house, trance, breaks and progressive and much more he has sold well over 2 million albums & singles with numerous top 10 & top 20 chart hits. His Nocturnal radio show is the worlds fastest expanding multi genre dance radio show now broadcast on 116 FM stations worldwide. In recent years Matt has been playing his unique “Nocturnal” blend of many styles including electro, progressive, tech, trance and occasional house & breaks. Matt’s new project is an album by his rocktronica band alias `Urban Astronauts` which fuses rock influences with EDM and will be released in 2008... Matt Darey started his musical career back in 1992 when he released his own independent record and soon after signed his first major album deal with Warner Bro’s and Sire Records in NYC. Matt’s productions have been a major influence on many of todays top DJ’s like Oakenfold, Tiesto, Armin Van Buren, Paul Van Dyk, Above & Beyond and many more. Jes Brieden:: Trance vocalist Jes (born Jes Brieden) had her first dancefloor hit in 2003 when she sang lead on Motorcycle's "As the Rush Comes," released by the Positiva label. In 2006 her appearance on the Deepsky single "Ghost" helped propel the single up the dance charts, then a popular bootleg remix called "Ghost in My Heart" appeared mashing the cut with Ethan's "In My Heart." Signed to Ultra as a solo artist, Jes released her debut album, Disconnect, through the label in 2007. It was followed a year later with a set of remixes called Into the Dawn: The Hits Disconnected. Photo Shoot :: Dj Roonie G - Las Vegas, NV

Recently Roonie G had me to some press work for some upcoming events and publications.

A DJ with 25 years of expertise and over 300 dance and hip-hop remixes under his belt, ROONIE never ceases to amaze. He started remixing for Ultimix in 1989 and produced the first Funkymix Medleys in 1990. Step into Jet at The Mirage in Las Vegas, Mixx at The Borgata in Atlantic City, Saddle Ranch at Universal’s City Walk in Los Angeles – or any of the other urban hotspots where ROONIE holds a residency – and patrons walk into a room where all of the senses are heightened. To behold ROONIE on any given night is to witness him deftly mashing-up audiovisual content hundreds of times during his two-hour set. Cameras and eyes are often fixated on him. For ROONIE, every split-second is spent cutting back-and-forth between tracks, mixing-in new video sources, creating custom-graphics on-the-fly and generally causing dancefloor mayhem. ROONIE’s live video-mixing is always a jaw-dropping spectacle.
